Laura T. Garza
Director
Laura T. Garza is the Lead Drama Faculty Instructor at San Antonio College and the Co-Founder and Executive Artistic Director of Teatro Audaz. She has been a Theatre educator and director for the past 11 years. Laura has an AA in Drama from SAC, a BA in Theatre Arts from UIW, and an MFA in Directing from Texas State University. She has trained with The Oregon Shakespeare Festival and abroad with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Accolades include winning the 2021 6A UIL OAP State Championship with the Taft HS Theatre team, 3 ATAC awards for her work as both an actor and director, 28 awards as a producer, 10 Broadway World Awards (2023), 2010 Kennedy Center ACTF Merit Award, and the 2011 Kennedy Center ACTF Directing award where she ranked as one of the top 8 collegiate directors in the nation. Abe Ramirez
Associate Director
Abe Ramirez is currently a Guest Lecturer at San Antonio College and has worked as Performer, Choreographer, Technical Director, Electrician, Production Stage Manager, Designer, and Director for various venues across Texas. He has been able to help assist with A Monster Calls as movement coach, Sound Designer/Fight Choreographer for Moon Over Buffalo, and choreographer for Cabaret at SAC. Abe has been awarded 2021 Technical Director of the Year at Texas Thespians, Campus Teacher of the Year at Davenport HS with CISD and is also one third of the folks behind MAB Technical Theatre Compendium. Abe holds a BFA in Theatre from Southwestern University and an MA in Theatre Arts from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He is grateful to share his passion for Theatre and Theatre Education with his community and students.

Nathan Thurman
Technical Director/Lighting Designer
Nathan Thurman is in his 9th year as Tech Director at San Antonio College. He also is a sought after Lighting Designer around town who was nominated for another two ATAC awards this year. In his spare time he hangs out with Stella who thoroughly enjoys his recitations of Shakespearan sonnets and monologues.
